Western blot analysis of FFAR1 protein expression in homozygous B-hFFAR1 mice. Various tissue lysates were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hFFAR1 mice (H/H), and then analyzed by western blot with species-specific anti-FFAR1 antibody. 20 μg total proteins were loaded for western blotting analysis. hFFAR1 was detected in pancreas from homozygous mice but not in liver,kidney and stomach.

Strain specific analysis of FFAR1 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hFFAR1 mice by RT-PCR. BM RNA was isolated from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hFFAR1 mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mouse or human FFAR1 primers. Mouse Ffar1 mRNA was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human FFAR1 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hFFAR1 mice but not in wild-type mice.
