Abstract:
This webinar highlights the pivotal role of FcRn humanized animal models in advancing preclinical pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) research of therapeutic antibodies. The session will begin with an overview on the model development strategies of FcRn humanized animals, followed by in-depth critical validation data that demonstrate their reliability in mimicking human FcRn-mediated antibody disposition.
Key topics include:
PK studies of diverse therapeutic antibodies, with particular emphasis on YTE-mutated antibodies—a class for which FcRn humanized models are essential for accurate PK evaluation
FcRn humanized animals with immunodeficient backgrounds eliminating anti-drug antibody (ADA)-induced interference
Multi-target humanized combinations enabling faithful assessment of target-mediated drug disposition (TMDD) processes
Finally, the webinar will explore future applications, such as using FcRn humanized models to evaluate soluble antigen clearance via "sweeping antibody" mechanisms in autoimmune disease studies, and to characterize PK profiles of BBB-penetrant antibodies (eg: TfR1-targeted antibodies) in brain shuttle research. This session also offers actionable insights for researchers in preclinical drug development, helping accelerate the translation of antibody therapies from bench to the clinic.
